Lost Composers of the Great War
The Leamington Chamber Orchestra in conjunction with Great War author Andrew Hamilton, will present an afternoon of music on
Sunday 4th November at 3.30 pm by four composers who fell in the First World War.
Pieces by Leamington born and bred William Denis Browne as well as George Butterworth, Cecil Coles and F.S. Kelly will be interspersed with readings and biographies of the composers.
The concert will be held in the Great Hall of the magnificent 900-year-old Lord Leycester Hospital, since 1571 a sanctuary for service members wounded in war or in need, who carry out duties in the Hospital in their Elizabethan robes.
